This Laundry Renovation in Shepparton turned one of the most neglected rooms in the home into a standout, high-functioning space that punches well above its weight. The before told a familiar story: a tired, deteriorating laundry with a rusted standalone tub, crumbling flooring, a partially demolished wall, and a single overhead cabinet that had long seen better days. It was a space that had been patched and ignored rather than properly maintained, and it showed.
The Cleland Built team completed a full strip-out, clearing the room entirely and preparing it from the ground up for a complete rebuild. Every element was approached with the same care and precision that goes into every Cleland Built project, no matter the room size.
What the Renovation Included
The transformation is dramatic. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry in a deep charcoal timber finish now lines the walls, delivering serious storage capacity while creating a bold, cohesive aesthetic. The joinery wraps the entire room, with upper cabinets extending to the ceiling and lower cabinets featuring sleek brass pull handles that add a considered touch of warmth against the dark palette.
A continuous stone benchtop in a speckled grey finish runs the full length of the room, providing generous workspace and housing a new undermount sink with a matte black mixer tap. Dark subway tiles have been laid across the full splashback, sitting neatly between the upper and lower cabinetry and tying the look together with texture and depth.
A horizontal highlight window above the sink brings in natural light without compromising on storage or privacy, giving the room an airy feel despite its compact footprint. Terrazzo-style floor tiles in dark tones complete the look, adding durability and continuing the refined, monochromatic theme throughout.
New plumbing and electrical services were installed to current standards throughout, ensuring the space is not only beautiful but safe and fully compliant. Every detail was resolved with care, from the recessed power points in the splashback to the open underbench cavity sized perfectly for a laundry basket.
The Difference Quality Makes
The before and after images speak for themselves. What was once a damaged, dysfunctional room has become one of the most impressive spaces in the home. The renovation proves that a laundry does not have to be an afterthought, and that with the right team and the right brief, even a small room can be transformed into something genuinely special.
This laundry renovation in Shepparton is a testament to what careful planning, quality materials, and experienced tradespeople can achieve. The client now has a space that is practical, low-maintenance, and finished to a standard they are proud to show off.
The clients were delighted with the outcome, noting the professionalism of the Cleland Built team throughout the process and the exceptional quality of the finished result.
